So, I have an interview for a BPTC scholarship on the 12th July - so proud just to even get the interview! I hope it goes well!

I’m a mixture of emotions right now. Mainly just:

After the most horrendous grilling.

Why are all lawyers so scary? I hope I never end up like that. The guy was sat there telling me about how I should be prepared to bring in new clients and how he was thinking in the long-term when hiring me and that his firm shouldn’t just be a stepping stone for me.

… He then proceeded to tell me that my grades and experience indicated that I was actually more cut-out for a city-based corporate law firm and that his firm would essentially be too small for me. He clearly had schizophrenia.

All the while I was just sat there, smiling and worshipping my potential employer whilst wanting to do this at him:

I’m perhaps a bit too immature.

I start a week on Monday.

And that’s pretty special.
